Whether you love or hate your birthday, turning 32 is a major milestone for everyone. At 32, you’ve probably gotten married, started your first serious job, bought your first home, had your first kid (or second or third), and maybe even become a parent yourself. So why is turning 32 so important? Well, it usually marks the beginning of what many people think of as their “adult years.” You’re no longer in your 20s; you’re not just getting ready to go back to school again, and you’ve probably gotten pretty comfortable with the person you are right now. Here are some pros and cons of turning 32.
Is 32 Old?
yes! Old is a state of mind and 32 is not old at all! If your health, family, and work life are good then life begins at 30. If you feel satisfied with your life then age really doesn’t matter. In my opinion, 32 is young but if you are stressed then you can feel like 32 is old.
What To Expect When You Turn 32
You’ll be able to do more things
You might be able to buy your first home, get married, have kids, and get a full-time job all within the first 10 years of your adult life. You may even start saving for retirement by the time you reach 32.
Your family will grow up too
Your children will start going off to school or college and you may have grandchildren by 32. Although it can be tough for a parent to see their children grow up too fast, it’s also exciting to see them go through life on their own and become independent adults.
You’ll have more freedom
You might not need as much permission or supervision from your parents anymore if you are married or living on your own. Maybe you don’t even need a babysitter anymore because one of your kids is old enough to take care of themselves! This can be both good and bad though because you might feel like you’re no longer a kid yourself.
You won’t be able to do everything you want to do
You might not be able to go back to school or travel as much as you would like to at 32. Although this is a good thing because you can focus on your career and family, it’s also sad because it means you might not be able to do the things that we all dream of doing in life.
You might outlive your parents
This is a big reason why some people avoid turning 32 so they don’t outlive their parent(s). It can be hard knowing that you will live longer than your parents and this can make you feel like there isn’t much time left for you to accomplish all of the goals that you have set for yourself before they pass away. as you want. However, you might also have more free time to do things like exercise, work on your hobbies, or even volunteer at a community center.
You’ll be more responsible and mature
You may find that you’re more mature and responsible than you were when you were younger. Maybe this is because you have learned how to deal with the responsibilities of adulthood and are able to make decisions for yourself instead of being told what to do by your parents or other people around you.
You’ll have more financial freedom
You might be able to save money for retirement or other goals by the time you turn 32 if you are financially prepared before then. You may also be able to make some additional investments in the stock market by that point as well. If not, then maybe it’s time for a career change!
How To Celebrate Turning 32
Go On A Trip Or Celebrate With Friends
One of the best ways to celebrate turning 32 is to travel. This is a great opportunity to explore a place you’ve always wanted to visit or to go back to a place you’ve always loved. When celebrating with friends, you can turn it into a mini-reunion and catch up with old friends you don’t get to see enough. You can even combine the two. For example, you could visit a new place with old friends. You could even plan a trip to a theme park such as Disneyland. This way, you can spend time with friends while also celebrating your new age milestone. Alternatively, you could celebrate at home with friends. This is a great option if you don’t have the funds or time to go on a trip. You can host a party and invite all your friends to celebrate with you.
Have Your Hair Done
For many people, a haircut is a significant life event. It represents a new chapter in your life and is a great way to mark turning 32. You can either have your usual hairstylist do a minor retouch or book an appointment with a high-end hair salon. If you opt for the latter, it can be a really nice treat for yourself. Remember, you are also celebrating turning 32, so it’s a good idea to go all out. Alternatively, you could treat yourself to a manicure or a new set of nails. This is a more affordable way to mark the occasion and still look great.
Surprise Yourself With A New Hobby Or Skill
Celebrating turning 32 with a new hobby or skill can be a lot of fun. It can also be a great way to meet new people and make new connections. Many people experience a loss of confidence as they age, which can lead to a lack of engagement in new hobbies and interests. This is something you’ll want to steer clear of as it can lead to feelings of isolation. Turning 32 is a great opportunity to try something new and challenge yourself. You can learn a new language, take up a new sport, or even start a new creative hobby such as painting or writing. This is a great way to connect with people and make new friends.
Commit To A Health Resolution
As you get older, it’s important to take care of your own health. A great way to celebrate turning 32 is to commit to a healthy resolution. This could be anything from committing to a vegetarian diet to regular exercise or even taking up meditation. It’s a great way to stay healthy and be mindful of your body as you age. It can also be a good way to meet new people if you decide to join a local group. This is important as you get older as it can be easy to become isolated and alone.
Learn Something New
Turning 32 is a great time to learn something new. You can learn a new language, try a new skill, or even go back to school to learn a new trade. This is a great way to challenge yourself and grow as a person. It can also be a good way to earn a living and find employment if you are currently out of work. This way, you can stay engaged in your life while also earning a living and providing for yourself. You can even try teaching what you’ve learned, which can be a great way to give back to your community.
Cons Of Turning 32
- You get no longer any financial support from your parents.
- You are not young anymore and every single day you have to face the challenges of life.
- Your parents are getting old and they might not be able to take care of themselves in their old age.
- Your house is now crowded with your siblings, cousins, and uncles as well as aunts and grandmothers who might not leave you alone for a single moment in the house.
- In spite of having married at an early age, you have no children now, that too after years of marriage, which can make you sad at times.
- The society has changed so much that even if you still consider yourself a girl child, it is difficult to fit in the world after turning 32 because men are considered more capable than women nowadays and do not want to be seen with a girl child any more than needed!
Pros Of Turning 32
- You can do a lot of things that you couldn’t do at 18. One of the first things I did when I turned 32 was to go to graduate school and get my Master’s degree. Not only did I get my Master’s degree, but I also got a scholarship to pay for it. In addition, I am now able to make more money than ever before and have a much higher income than I had at 18.
- My friends are getting married and having kids at a younger age than they used to. My friends who are married are doing so much earlier than they used to, as well. Most of my friends’ kids are still in diapers!
- People who used to be my enemies have become my friends and vice versa. Some people who were once in gangs with me have become my best friends!
- You can travel more because you’re not as busy being a parent or working as hard at your job as you were when you were younger.
- You can finally afford to buy the things you always wanted and never could afford when you were younger.
Bottom Line
No matter how old you are, you’re always growing and always changing. Turning 32 doesn’t mean that you’re stuck in a rut or that your life is suddenly over. It means that you’re growing and changing and that you’re finding more stability in your life.
